Don’t expect an English class — our goal is to immerse ourselves in a fascinating cultural experience using our backgrounds and intuition, hone the art of discussion, squeeze out some creative juice and have fun together.

You will be required to read a text from a fresh issue of the magazine which would be sent to you in advance. We recommend reading most of texts twice as many of them require a high level of your comprehension.

Upper-level English is expected from participants. Bring a pen, a notebook, and your enthusiasm.

The size of the group is limited to 12 participants to allow everyone’s active engagement.

This workshop is hosted in Skype; each time you will recieve a link to an event. You can join with Skype application or using Skype for web. Occasionally, we will have offline sessions where the fee could increase to cover rentals etc. We also plan to have special events with guest speakers – to be additionally announced.

Although its reviews and events listings often focus on the cultural life of New York City, The New Yorker has a wide audience outside New York and is read internationally.
